2nd Annual Local Harvest: Farms, Food, & Family

Slow Food Northern NJ in partnership with the Morris County Park Commission

Attendees can meet local farmers and food artisans, buy seasonal vegetables & fruit, grass fed & finished beef and pork, poultry, eggs, cheese, breads, teas and prepared foods. Learn about Community Supported Agriculture and how your family can purchase a seasonal farm share from the Community Supported Garden at Genesis Farm and Rogowski Farm. Arthur & Friends, an entrepreneurial training program for adults with disabilities will sell locally grown organic hydroponic greens.

Learn about Northern NJ’s agricultural past from The Morris County Historical Society. Don’t miss Fosterfields Living Historical Farm’s interpretive display on early farm life, sustainable farming, and heritage breeds.

Directions From Interstate 287

Traveling North: Take Madison Avenue Exit 35 and turn left onto South Street.
Proceed WEST to the Center of Morristown. At the Morristown Green look for County Rt. 510 WEST.
Turn Right onto 510 WEST (Washington Street) and go approximately 2 miles.
ON LEFT Pass Lewis Morris Park entrance, pass private drive on left, make next LEFT at #300 Mendham Road.
Entrance to The Cultural Center is on the LEFT.

Traveling South: Take Madison Avenue Exit 35 and bear RIGHT onto Rt. 124 WEST, to center of Morristown. Follow above directions.
